They tend to go gritty. In Dorie Greenspan's yoghurt cake recipe, you can substitute extra flour for the almond meal, so it probably works ok as a rule, I think.

Icing would have been nice but then you would have lost the lovely round curviness of that gorgeous bundt!Celia @ Fig Jam and Lime Cordialhttp://www.figjamandlimecordial.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7509623290663629278.post-52562948241419175642010-06-27T16:21:27.325+01:002010-06-27T16:21:27.325+01:00Mmmmmm - I don't think its possible to go wron...Mmmmmm - I don't think its possible to go wrong with a combo of chocolate and caramel in cake form
;0)Chelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00939575593242980773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7509623290663629278.post-57861022250556378822010-06-26T21:08:03.108+01:002010-06-26T21:08:03.108+01:00Hi, C - nice looking cake. Shame you were disappointed with the flavour.

I often use this Chocolate Glaze from a Mary Berry recipe:

Melt 175g plain chocolate and 30g butter together in a small thick-bottomed saucepan. Remove from heat and beat in 3 tablespoons golden syrup and 2 tablespoons milk. Cool until it is the consistency you need, then drizzle over or pour onto cake Suellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04824039607448635437noreply@blogger.com
